Danny is a Seattle based artist. The main focus of his artwork is contrast. The contrast of color, the contrast of shadow but most importantly the contrast that exists within each person.
Danny is a veteran of the war in Iraq and has used artwork as a way to make sense out of the madness of war and the contradictions at the root of mankind. His art is an exploration of our human character in it’s extremes, from the childhood notions of right and wrong to the confused reality of good and evil. Within each heart lies an ability for love or hatred, compassion or cruelty, care or violence and often whether it’s one or the other depends only on a few mistakes or a handful of bad choices.
This is the world of a man who saw the enemy inside himself and a brother in the eyes of his enemy.
